Ingredients:
Chicken -1 kg
Green chillies-4
Curry leaves-10 to 15 leaves
Tomatoes-2
Onions-1cup chopped.
Shajeera/caraway-1/2 teaspoon.
Cloves-2
Ealchi/cardamom-2
Cinnamon stick-1
Bay leaf-1.
Salt -3/4 teaspoon or as per taste.

To marinate chicken:

Turmeric powder-1 teaspoon.
Salt-1/2 teaspoon.
Ginger garlic paste-1 and 1/2 tablespoon.
Coconut milk-1 cup.

Chettinad masala:
Dry roast
Peppercorns-3 tablespoons.
Dry red chillies-5
Fennel seeds-1 tablespoon.
Cumin seeds-1 tablespoon.
Cardamoms-3
Cloves-5 to 6.
Caraway /shajeera -1 teaspoon.
Cinnamon sticks-2
Coriander seeds(or coriander powder) -2 tablespoons.
Sesame seeds-1tablespoon.
Fenugreek-1/2 teaspoon.

Let them cool,Make a powder out of this.
How to cook:
Clean the chicken pieces and marinate with 1 table spoon of ginger garlic paste,salt and turmeric.
Heat oil in pan.Add spices and onions , saute till they turn  light brown.
Add ginger garlic paste,saute  for half a minute.
Add curry leaves,green chillies,chopped tomatoes,cook till tomatoes are soft.
Add chettinad masala powder.

Add coconut milk,marinated chicken,mix well,cover it and cook for 20 to 25 minutes or chicken is soft,mix in between for every 5 minutes.

Take into a serving bowl ,add chopped coriander.ServeCurry .
