Chukka Kura chutney(Green Sorrel leaves chutney)(leafy vegetable)
1.Ingredients:
- Chukka Kura (Green Sorrel leaves)- 1 bunch(1 cup sliced)
- Turmeric -1 teaspoon.
- Salt -1/2 table spoon.
2.Ingredients for Grinding:
- Green chillies-7 to 8(adjust according to taste.
- Groundnuts -1table spoon.
- Roasted Sesame seeds - 1tablespoon.
- Cumin(jeera)-1/2 tea spoon.
3.Ingredients for tempering:
- Cumin seeds-1/2 teaspoon.
- Mustard seeds-1/2 teaspoon.
- Chana Dal-1 teaspoon.
- Urad Dal(split black lentil)-1 teaspoon
- Crushed garlic-3
- Hing(optional)-1 pinch.

Cooking Procedure:
Clean green sorrel soaking in water, for twice, remove from water and drain all the water. Cut the leaves.
Add 1/2 tablespoon oil to a saute pan, heat the oil, add chopped leaves, salt. Cook for five minutes. Let it cool.
Now grind all the ingredients Green Chilie, Groundnuts, sesame seeds, cumin along with cooked green sorrel.
Adjust salt if needed.

Tempering:
Add two table spoons of oil,heat it.
Add mustard seeds,cumin,chana Dal,Dry red chillies,Garlic cloves,curry leaves ,let them turn light brown and add a pinch of Hing(Asafoetida).
Add tempering after it cools down to the grind chutney.
Its a side dish for boiled white rice and roti.
