How to make white and soft Idli

Idlis are healthy and delicious  south Indian breakfast food,Light and easy snack to make.
Idlis are steam cooked ,best enjoyed with Chutneys and sambar.

Ingredients:

Idli rawa(boiled rice semolina)-2 cups
Poha(beaten rice)-2 tablespoons.
Urad Dal(Split black lentil)-1cup
Salt to taste(about 1 teaspoon)
Oil for greasing.

For the idli batter:

Wash and soak idli rawa and poha(beaten rice) separately for 2 hours.
Wash urad Dal thoroughly and soak it
in water for at least 3 hours.
Blend the poha(beaten rice) and urad Dal in a blender to make smooth paste using little water.
Mix idli rawa and urad Dal batter and add salt .
Cover and keep aside for 6 to 8 hours for fermenting.

How to make Cook:

Idli

Grease the idli stand moulds.
Pour two tablespoons of the idli batter in each mould.
Steam for 10 to 15 minutes.
Cool slightly and unmould the idli's.
Serve hot.
