South Indian sweet rice made with richness of nuts and ghee made mostly on special occasions ,festivals and  in Temples.

Ingredients 



White Rice-1cup
Moong dal-1 tablespoon
Sugar-2 teaspoons.
Ghee-1 tablespoons
Almonds-4
Cashew nuts-4
Raisins(kismis)-5 to 8.
Cardamons powder-1/4 teaspoon or 3cardmons.
Water-1cup.
Saffron strands-4 to strands.

Preparation:

Wash and soak rice in water for 1/2 an hour.
In a small bowl ,dissolve saffron in warm water and set aside.
Dry roast moong dal and cool it and wash with water.

In a pan heat  the ghee,add almonds,cashew nuts fry for a couple of minutes and keep aside
In the remaining ghee add the soaked rice,moong dal and stir well.
Pour water,cover and cook for 10 to 15 minutes or till the rice is soft and fluffy.
Pour saffron soaked water in the pan and then add sugar.Mix well.
Sprinkle green cardamon powder .

Serve hot. Hyderabadi
