Cheikodilu/Chegodilu(Crispy Rice flour snack)
Chegodilu is one of the traditional and famous snack for all Telugu people and in South India.Easy to make Tea time snack.
Ingredients:
Rice flour-2 cups.
Water-2 and 1/2 cups.
Water-2 and 1/2 cups.
Cumin(jeera)-1 teaspoon.
Chilly powder-1 teaspoon.
Salt -1 teaspoon.
Aniseed's(vamu)-1/2 teaspoon.
Sesame seeds(nuvvulu)-1 table spoon.
Ghee/oil-1 teaspoon to be added to the flour.
Preparation:
Boil water and turn off the heat.
Add ghee,salt,turmeric powder and chilly powder.
Add rice flour,mix thoroughly ,it should not form lumps.
Now add cumin,aniseed's,sesame seeds.Cover it and allow to cool naturally.
After cooling ,Knead the flour to make soft dough.
Take a table spoon of dough and make rings with it.
Heat oil in a deep fry pan ,add 10 rings at a time and fry them on medium heat,till crisp.
Spread them on a oil absorbing paper.
