A traditional south Indian rice made on festivals, as prasadam in temples.A tangy flavour with crunchy peanuts .Easy to cook.

Ingridients:
Boiled white rice - 2 cups.
Tamarind - 50 grams.
Ground nuts-2 tablespoons.
Turmeric-1 teaspoon.
Dry red chillies-8.
Pepper powder-1/2 teaspoon.
Roasted jeera methi powder(roasted cumin and fenugreek seeds powder)-1 teaspoon.
Mustard seeds-1 teaspoon.
Cumin-1 teaspoon.
Curry leaves-10 leaves.
Green chillies-2(optional)

Asafoetida(Hing)- a pinch.
Tamarind Pulihora(Tamarind Rice)Procedure:Extract tamarind pulp adding 1.5 cups of water,boil it adding salt ,till reduces half or thick puree consistency. |
