Potato chilly garlic fry is a quick veg curry, simple  a bit spicy dry curry.

Ingredients:

  1. Potatoes- 250 grams.
  2. Garlic cloves -3
  3. Curry leaves -10 to 15 leaves.
  4.  Red Chilly powder -1 teaspoon.
  5. Jeera / cumin -1/2 teaspoon.
  6. Urad Dal(black split lentil)-1 table spoon.
For tempering:

  1. Oil - 2 table spoons.
  2. Mustard seeds -1/2  teaspoon.
  3. cumin /jeera -1/2 teaspoon.
  4. turmeric -1/2 teaspoon.


Cooking time :approximately 20 min.
chilly garlic powder preparation: Add garlic cloves,chilly powder and cumin in a mortar ,grind it to
coarse powder.

Cooking Method :
  1.  Heat saute pan,add  2 table spoons of oil.
  2. Add mustard,cumin,urad Dal(black split lentil)
  3. Add Curry leaves,turmeric.
  4. Add sliced potatoes into small cubes(about 1 cm),saute of 3 to 5 minutes.
  5. Check the if the  potatoes turned soft.
  6. Add chilly garlic powder,saute for 2 more minutes in low flame.
  7. Potato chilly fry is done.
Crunchy potatoes chilly fry with rasam or sambar and white boiled rice goes well.
