Ingredients:

Rice flour-2 cups.
Puffed Chickpea flour(putnalu podi):1/2 cup.
Butter-1/2 tablespoon.
Ajwain / vamu(carom seeds)-1 tablespoon.
Sesame seeds-2 tablespoons.
Cumin / jeera-1 teaspoons.
Red chili powder-1teaspoons.
Salt-1 teaspoons.
Oil for deep frying.

Preparation:

Boil 3 cups of water,switch off the flame.
Add  butter, salt, chilly powder and rice flour,mix well with a spatula.

Allow it to cool.Add Puffed Chickpea flour(putnalu podi), sesame seeds, cumin, ajwain.Knead the dough till soft.
Take a small portion of dough and fill in the muruku press or chakli press.
Grease a plate with oil,Press the chakli maker rotating round to form a spiral chakli.

Heat oil for deep frying,flame should be high while dropping chakli.

Carefully drop one at a time,deep fry few at a time on a medium to low flame, till crisp.
Fry few at a time.
Place them on absorbing paper,cool them and store in air tight container.
