Ksheerannam is rice recipe made with rice cooked in milk,ghee and jaggery or sugar.This is offered to god on the fourth day of #Navrathri festival.And also prepared for special religious occasions.Ksheeram means milk ,annam means cooked rice.

Ingredients:

Ksheerannam

White rice-1/2 cup.
Boiled milk -2 cups.
Jagger -1 table spoon.(according to taste we can add 1/2 tablespoon more)
Cashew nuts-4 to 5
Raisins -1 tablespoon.
Chironji seeds-1/2 teaspoon.
Ghee-1/2 tablespoon.

Preparation:

  1. Heat a pan,fry cashew nuts,chironji,raisins in low flame,and remove and keep aside.
  2. Fry rice in the remaining ghee.
  3. Add jaggery,let it melt.
  4. Add milk cook until done.
  5. Add fried nuts and mix well,take into serving bowl.Serve.
