Cucumber pickle
One more mouth watering pickle, which all Telugu people like to eat in their regular meal or a party, most made pickle recipe as cucumbers are available throughout the year. Easy to make, with less than 10 minutes time.
Choosing cucumbers is important, cucumbers should be sour or bitter, sweet and tasteless cucumbers spoil the pickle taste.
Ingredients:
Cucumber - 200 grams.
Turmeric Powder-1 teaspoon.
Jeera Methi Powder(Roasted Cumin and Fenugreek Powder)-1 teaspoon.
Salt-1 tablespoon.
Mustard Powder-1 teaspoon.
Garlic paste-1/2 table spoon.
Red chilly powder-2 tablespoons.

Ingredients for Tadka(Tempering / popu):
Oil -3 table spoons.Dry red chilies- 5
Mustard Seeds-1/2 teaspoon
Cumin seeds-1/2 teaspoon.
Fresh curry leaves-10 leaves.

Preparation:
Preparation for tadka:
Heat oil, add mustard,cumin,dry red chillies,curry leaves,when they start spluttering switch off the flame and allow it to cool.Cucumber pickle(Dosakaya Pickle) |
Wash cucumber,wipe off the water with a dry cloth ,cut into 1/2 inch cubes.
Mix the ingredients turmeric ,salt, mustard,jeera methi powder,garlic paste with cut cucumber pieces and then add chilly powder.Mix thoroughly.
Now add the tadka,mix it and serve.

If preserved in refrigerator tastes good for a week.
