Green peas and Dil leaves Pulao rice

This is very light ,quick ,healthy and easy recipe,served with any gravy curry .

Ingredients:

  1. Soya leaves -1 bunch.
  2. Basmati rice -2 cups.
  3. Green chillies-3.
  4. Green peas-2 table spoons.
  5. Cinnamon sticks -2.
  6. Shajeera(Caraway seeds) -1/2 teaspoon.
  7. Cardamoms(elachi) -3.
  8. Cloves-4.
  9. Peppercorns-1/2 teaspoon.
  10. Bay leaves-1.
  11. Brown onions(caramelised onions)-1 teaspoon.
  12. Oil or ghee - 1 teaspoon.
  13. Dried cranberries-2 table spoons.(optional)

Preparation:
  1. Wash  basmati rice thoroughly with water.Soak for 10 minutes.Clean soya leaves,wash and chop.
  2. Boil four cups of water,add 1 tea spoon of salt,spices Cinnamon,bay leaf,cardamons,peppercorns,cloves.
  3. Remove water from rice,add to the boiling water and cook for 8 to 10 minutes,until rice is 3/4 cooked.
  4. Drain rice in a colander.

Add  ghee or oil to a pan and heat it.
Add onions,saute for a minute,add green peas,sliced green chillies,Dill leaves and salt saute for 2 more minutes.
Now fry cranberries separately with 2 drops of oil.
Spread rice in a pan ,add sauteed green peas and soya to rice and will well.
Cover it with a silver foil and lid.place this pan on hot tawa,cook for 10 minutes in a low flame.

Remove the lid and add fried cranberries and serve hot with gravy curry and Peach Parsley Salad
.
