A less spicy Dal with fresh coriander and Toovar Dal.

Ingredients:
Toovar Dal-1/2 cup.
Fresh Coconut grated-2 table spoons.
Mustard seeds-1/2 teaspoon.
Cumin(jeera)-1/2teaspoon.
Split black gram Dal(urad Dal)-1/2 teaspoon.
Red chillies -3.
Green chillies-3.
Turmeric-1/2 teaspoon.
Salt-1/2 teaspoon.
Oil for seasoning-1 teaspoon.

Preparation:
Wash and soak toovar Dal for 5 minutes.
Pressure cook up to 3 whistles.
Grind fresh coconut and turmeric.

Prepare the tempering,with a teaspoon of oil heating,
add Cumin,mustard seed,urad Dal,red chillies, curry leaves,add coconut turmeric powder,saute for a minute and add to Dal,add salt ,cook for 2 more minutes.Serve hot with roti or rice.
