Choley Chat with Aloo tikki(chick peas and Potato cutlet)
A healthy, lip smacking chat recipe.This recipe is made with boiled chickpeas and potatoes curried and topped with a snack made with boiled potatoes called Aloo tikki ,served with 2 different sauces or chutneys.Tangy,a little sweet,bit spicy and fresh taste of herbs and added crunchy pomegranates served with Green chutney and Date-Tamarind chutney.

Ingredients :
Chick peas(choley dal)-2 cups.Potatoes-300 grams.
Tomatoes-3 medium.
Onions-3 small.
Chilly powder-1 teaspoon.
Fennel seeds-1 teaspoon.
Salt-1 teaspoon.
Turmeric-1/2 teaspoon.
Jaggery-1 tablespoon.
Chat powder-1 tablespoon.
Chopped fresh ginger-1 teaspoon.
Canola oil-1 teaspoon.
Butter(optional)-1 teaspoon.
Extra onions and tomatoes finely chopped for dressing.And finely chopped coriander leaves.
Green chutney and Date-Tamarind chutney,Pomegranate's and Sev.

Soak chick peas for about 8 to 10 hours.
Peel potatoes,pressure cook potatoes and chickpeas for 5 to 6 whistles or till they or soft.
Heat oil in pan,saute onions,chopped ginger saute till golden brown,add chopped tomatoes.Cook till they are soft.

Serve hot,spread a cup of choley,then top it with 3 to 4 piece of aloo tikki,add a teaspoon finely chopped onions 1/2 teaspoon of coriander,a table spoon of tomatoes.Spread a table spoon of green chutney and date tamarind chutney each.
