Spicy Lamb Steak recipe

This lamb recipe is juicy, spicy and tangy, with healthy cooking process having less oil and  less trans fats.

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Lamb meat portion boneless - 250gms, cut in to 1/2 cm thin slices of 5 cm diameter(as shown in the image)
  2. Ginger garlic paste - 1 table spoon
  3. Turmeric - 1 teaspoon
  4. Freshly grounded Pepper powder  -1 teaspoon
  5. Salt - to taste - 1/2 teaspoon
  6. Raw papaya - 4cm size slice grated  - as meat tenderiser 
  7. Paprika powder - 1 teaspoon
  8. Sumac powder -1/2 teaspoon, if not available use anardana (pomegranate)powder
  9. Cooking oil - 1 tablespoon

Procedure:

Marination:
Add all ingredients, except paprika and sumac powder to the meat pieces and add the paprika and sumac at the end and allow the meat to marinate for 2 hours  in refrigerator.

Cooking procedure:

Spicy Lamb Steak
Take a  medium sized flat pan , heat it on stove. add cooking oil to the pan and place the marinated meat pieces one by one in to pan and cook on slow heat with pan covered for 20 min.

Remove the  cooked lamb pieces from the pan.
Heat grill pan(or barbecue grill) on the stove on a low heat.
Place the steam cooked meat pieces on the grill pan and cook for 10 minutes without covering the pan,
once the meat pieces turn in to desired brownish colour remove them from the pan and they are ready to be served .
Garnish with Sesame seeds and sliced onions and slit green chillies.
